Peter Okoye of P-square has reacted to plans by the Federal government to stop entertainers from shooting their music videos abroad. Lai Mohammed disclosed this during a meeting with Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON)  House in Lagos yesterday, July 15th.

Music Executive, Jude Okoye,  this afternoon took to his IG page to slam the Federal government over their plans to stop entertainers from going abroad to shoot  their music videos.  He wrote

"Smh. An industry they NEVER encouraged, supported or empowered is what they now want to control. Let all of you stop running to abroad when you are sick as na naija money una dey use patronize oyibo hospital dem. You people are the ones refusing to fix our health facilities so u travel out when mosquito bite una. So why tell us where to record when u can't provide uninterrupted power here in Nigeria. Sometime I wonder how we got it all wrong. Una children when dey sch for abroad na which money una dey use patronize them? Abeg ".

Dear Susu
We crossed paths 2 or 3 times since 2012, but I wasn't paying enough attention. Destiny was staring me right in the face and I was too caught up in my own hustle and paper chase, to know it. In June 2015 however, God brought you my way again, and this time, I really SAW you. I was smitten by your grace, aura, and beauty. I asked one or two people about you.. your manager Isioma, who I'd worked with previously, and then I did some research myself. Googled you, stalked your instagram.. the whole 9 yards, and the more I found out, the more you seemed like a breath of fresh air.
Now, I personally don't like being "hooked up", so I decided to approach you myself by sliding into your DM a few days later. Introduced myself, made some silly attempts to make you laugh, told you I planned to become your biggest fan, and asked if we could be friends. Thank God you laughed at my silly jokes, and thank God you graciously agreed to become my friend. At the time, I was COMPLETELY lying about only wanting to be friends, by the way.. but I figured it was a safe place to start.
Since that DM, I've spoken to you pretty much every single day for almost 2 years. Sometimes, in the morning, at night and in between. We clicked instantly, and you quickly became one of my favourite people on earth, and one of my closest friends. It got to the point where my day wouldn't quite feel right without speaking to you. I needed your friendship. I needed, and still need, the bond we share. It completes me.
I knew pretty early in the process that I wanted to spend forever with you. Prayed about it fervently. But it took you FOREVER (okay fine.. maybe a year and a half or so) to see things my way. But I kinda knew all along.. I was just waiting for you to catch up.
In that time, I got engaged to you in my "Made For You" music video... and then by coincidence, we both got cast to get married in "The Wedding Party" movie.. but all the while we were the very best of friends. I guess, in our case, real life will now imitate art.
I'm not sure what the future will bring, but I'm completely sure that I am ready to face it with you by my side. I pray that God continues to build me into the kind of man that you deserve. Ironically, everyone who has seen us together in art, or in life, always insists that we have amazing chemistry. I guess you can say we have been hiding in plain sight. I fell in love with an Actress. Now my life is a movie.

Harrysong dumps Five Star Music...starts own music label

There is about to be another artist/label drama/fight in the Nigerian entertainment industry. And this time, it's between Raggae Blues singer Harrysong and his Five Star Music label. This evening, Harrysong shared the poster on the left on his IG page, he didn't say what it was about but when LIB went digging, we found out it was his own music label. Thing is, Harrysong still has a 2-year contract with Five Star Music and we hear Five Star Music will be coming for him... We don't have all the details but according to someone in the know, Harrysong was unhappy with his contract and wanted out. Without informing Five Star, he started his own label. A source close to the music label said he believes that the music label will take it up with Harrysong as they paid a lot of money to break his contract with his former music label, Kevin Luciano's Question Mark Records before they could even sign him and they have spent a lot of money on him and he still has contractual agreements with them until 2018. Harrysong doesn't seem to care as he's already launched his own label.

Rihanna set to have a Fashion show this month

When New York Fashion Week came and went with no sign of Rihanna's new Puma collection, we were sad but not surprised — ya girl has been busy!

HOWEVER. It turns out the new collection is, in fact, on its way, but was inspired by a city other than New York. You know what that means... We're going to Paris, baby!

According to Vogue, Rihanna issued a press release revealing why she made the switch from Paris to New York, saying, "I approached this season very differently and felt the theme and concept was best suited for one of my favorite cities, Paris." Perhaps more exciting than the fact that the show is actually happening, though, is that it promises to be "very different from a traditional runway show format." UMMM. Whatever that means, sign us up. The show will be live-streamed on Tidal on September 28, and even non-members can watch. See ya there.

Selena Gomez says she's taking time off her career due to anxiety and depresion stemming from her Lupus diagnosis

Singer and actress Selena Gomez has revealed that she'll be taking time away from the entertainment scene as a precautionary measure, as her Lupus disease can bring forth side effects such as panic attacks, depression and anxiety.
"As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,  I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges'. The 24-year-old told People, who first reported the story.
 She continues

"I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.Last year in an interview with Billboard magazine for their October 2015 issue, Selena revealed she had been diagnosed with Lupus and had even undergone chemotherapy.
