Schweinsteiger’s role at United has been made redundant by Paul Pogba’s imminent return.
Big things were expected of Schweinsteiger when Louis van Gaal raided former club Bayern Munich for the 32-year-old.
However, new boss Mourinho has no room for the World Cup winner in his new-look Red Devils squad and has told Schweinsteiger to find a new club before the end of August.
